Don't know I have this to, tagging along. It does resemble cyano...
yip,im also thinkin cyano
I got that too and I clean because it spreads up my glass. I move the substrate to get rid of it. At the back of the DT cant get to it so I just leave it. It also seems to grow then die back. Not sure if it's part of the cycle.
It is cyano, it's part of "new tank syndrome" ensure you run carbon and rowaphos (or other phosphate remover) and it will die off naturally.
i got carbon in the sump, hope this will control it.
i have purigen in aswell
Yip Mike is spot correct , you can also put in an airstone to increase redox potential of your water
airstone and redox?plz explain what this is.
It's to increase the rate that the proteins turn to gas and leave your system.
wont lotsa surface agitation do the same thing as a airstone will do?
Yes it would.
cool,il then redirect my powerhead towards the surface!
