Is this Blastomussa?

    Is this a Blastomussa? LFS was not sure as he has never seen one before, but from what i have read and seen on the internet I am pretty sure it is one. Just need confirmation.

    looks like a mixture of stuff. what about an open brain?

    Nope dont think open brain, although Blastomussa looks like a mix between an open brain and a mushroom to me. Not sure if u can tell from the pic, but the polyps are almost look like little mushrooms that come out from the skeletal base.

    LFS did have Blastomussa's on his invoice, but wasnt suer if this was it, but by process of elimination we figured that this was it. :p

    Does look like Blastomussa merletti, from looking up on google Mike. Definately smaller than the Blastomussa Wellsi, unless its just because they havent grown yet?

    There looks like a lot of die off due to the empty heads on it, hopefully it will recover.

    Ya, there look like there were a few that didnt make it. Most look like they were a long time ago. Also hope it recovers, but those that are open look nice and healthy.

    Yep with decent conditions and good lighting, it should be fine:)
