Is this an Octopus coral

    Was told buy the lfs this is an octopus coral but i also read its what they used to call frogspawn

    That is definitely not a frogspawn

    Does it have a hard skeleton?
    It looks like a soft anthelia/sarcothelia/ etc

    i ment that they used to call a frogspawn an octopus coral not meaning that this coral i posted is a frogspawn

    not 100% sure but it does not have a hard skeleton

    Sympodium polyps I reckon. Colour slightly off though.

    Definately a 'sympodium coral' I had same 1 .... Unfortunately it doesn not look as beautifully colourd as the google pics lol, but like with all corals the colours vary and I was told if u meet its perfect pars, it will colour up

    Goodluck, they a bit hard to keep

    hi thanks for the id people.. the coral was brought an put into the tank a day before i took the picture so im sure it will colour up some more

    Most likely meant Octocorallia.
