Is this aiptasia???

    hi all,

    it this the dreaded antipasta? the glass nennie i have heard about?

    If so, what is the best method to kill it off, i have about 5 of them on my LR..

    Yip that is it...;) The best way imo is to remove the rock and pour some calcium hydroxide powder over the little pest, wait 2 min and then rinse the rock thoroughly!!

    PS. Works just as well with Mojano!

    you mean aptasia? well, you could get a syringe and put 2 or 3ml of white vinigar in it and then move the tip of the syring close to the anemone and squirt it all out. the vinigar will be fine in your system, deadly to those buggers though:) sorted mine right out:)

    so it is the nasty stuff then, will sort it out with white vinegar .... the vinegar not going to hurt my softies is it ???

    Not if you use small amounts, 5 - 10ml will be enough.

    Or try concentrated lemon juice wih syringe and needle. Small amount. Have to do it like real close and in small amounts for a few days.
    Interesting the lemon juice make the bristle worms pop out.
