Guys I want to purchase a fish where basically it can clean the sand.
I know I have to filter the sand but I just want a fish not to allow my ammonia to spike.
Maybe a blenny or goby??????

Thanks for the link.but just another question the carnivorous fish would they still eat flakes that are on the floor bottom

yes, they will.

Just don't add any fish while the tank is cycling, a sand sifting fish won't eliminate ammonia during the cycle, it will actually make it worse due to the waste it produces. How big is your tank? If under 200 liters, look at nassarius snails too, if it is bigger, a sand sifting starfish might also help.

for most sand sifting species the sand bed must be very mature as they dont all take to prepared foods readily, and even if they do they dont always derive the correct nutrition from it. so i would do some research on the subject and make an informed decision ;)

Maintain acceptable and stable water parameters

what size tank do you got?

Urchins needs algae.
Algae needs nutrient rich water.
The smaller the tank, the more dense algae you need. Bigger tanks and the urchins can roam further.
