Hey everyone

I have quite a large toadstool in my display tank. It very kindly mounted itself on two rocks that support all my rockwork. Is it safe to cut the toadstool in the tank? I know the toadstool releases some toxins when cut, but I can't exactly take it out. I am running MatrixCarbon on the tank.

Thanks!

Are you fragging the top of it or wanting to cut it off the rocks at the base to take it out? They slime up a lot when being cut so ideally needs to be done outside of the tank in a bucket and left for a while to release the slime before being put back into the tank, but if you're cutting it at the base and taking it out straight away then it should be fine, as long as you're running carbon and skimming well it should be fine.
