Iodine is a very volatile chemical... I would agree with mandarinman and use the Brightwell product but I would also invest in a good iodine test kit. Dont take chances with the chemical....

iodene also got a very short tank life. Put it like that.

It is absorbed, combined with other chemicals and reacted against fairly quickly. That is why you need to dose everyday. For me, too much of a hassle. Weekly 10% water changes and most likely you do not need any extra chemicals, unless you are on SPS. But a softly and with some LPS, there should not be a need to dose iodene.

Unless you got loads of hermits. Yes, then you might need it.

Thanx Riaan and everyone else, im using brightwell, got softies and 10 hermits, does 13 % water change weekly, so if ul agree with me, il just dose 2ml every 3 days, does that sound okay ?

No, you either do it every day, or you do not do it at all. In my opinion.

It got a really short "lifespan" that it is in your tank as Iodene, before it combines with something else. That is why you need to add every day. Doing it every 3rd day, will result in Iodene spikes or flactuations. And as with everything else in marines, keep it stable.
