Hi everyone.just started with my very own marine tank after getting bored with the regular once and must say i cant stop reading up on it. ive got a boyu tl 450 with all the basics. sofar that i know there is probly only a handfull of people that have marine tanks in kimberley due to our heat and the prob OF having to get supply from either bloem or other places. hope everything works out.

    Welcome!

You can build your own evap chiller for peanuts using some 110mm pvc plumbing, a small pump with plastc spray head, and a 12cm pc fan. There's a thread in the water params forum.

Welcome. I have a relatively cheap solution to temperature problems on my tank, I attached four 120mm pc fans to some egg crating and set it on a 45 degree angle. works like a charm. On the hot days the tank does not go over 28. I could take a pic or two if you'd like to see more.
