    Hey guys!

I have finally managed to log into my MASA account. I have only been reading forums but it's great to be part of the community!

I started with a FOWLR aquarium about a year ago. I just had enough of freshwater and I saw what I was missing in my life in my friends marine aquarium. I made a huge mistake buying the smallest tank (100L) with a Bio Filter and T5's. After massive algae blooms, cleaning filter every week and capturing fish to take back to shop due to fights etc. I decided 3 months ago I am going bigger.

Currently I have a 300L DT and a 100L sump cycling for the second day now. I am using a bit of my old water and live rock and now its the worst time.......patience!:(

O well I will probably have a lot of questions for the future of my tank. Once again Im happy to be part of MASA

My inspiration aquariums: TOTM, David Saxby aquarium and Ganzel's reef

I don't have much equipment but I'm using a Dymax Protein skimmer (700L) and for lighting I am using 4 x 54W T5. In sump I have just got a DSB and planning on growing macro algae... My plans for this tank is to make it a proper community tank, the worst thing for me is agressiveness and fights between fish. I also want to keep it super clean no algae in DT, so I'll see how the DSB works otherwise I'll move to a dangerous method later in the year but I have seen miracles with it.... vodka dosing:thumbup:. I am not going to use this big tank just for fish and a couple of rocks. I need some colour! I am just going to buy zoa's , polyps, mushrooms ect. Then slowly introduce anemones and mabye one or two corals which dont need so much lighting...(SPS) So I could probably say semi reef tank:)
