    Hi All

After rethinking the way I will be setting up my new tank I have been looking at a few stocking options as due to time restricitions I wont be able to keep corals or anything that requires dosing or heavy maintenance. So I was thinking about doing a 1 fish tank and I am looking at the Interruptus Angel.

There is LFS that might be getting one and I am interested in how much you think that they will go for? Also if you have any information on this fish that might prove helpful?

To the truth of them arriving or not, I am not sure as of yet. The shop has ordered them. Is there any special requirements or will they be the same as any centropyge? Are we looking like R 10K?

Ok that perfect becoz I just want a 1 fish tank with no corals or anything. I dont mind paying the price for something beautiful.

Do you know of anyone who has one in SA?

Thy are one of the largest Centropyge 17cm max
Thy are collected deep so adult once do bad. Only get one that have been collected by a good collector
Thy are from subtropical waters so water must be 23c or below
A proper small juv will be close to R20000

There has not been one in SA

I have noticed that they do get quite big.
The ones that I am able to purchase now are small and medium.
Yeah I see that there location is very limited and not many people get them.
The price that the guy is requesting is round about R 15000.
I see you have a lot of rare angels, what do you think about me purchasing one?

If I have 2 centropyge then I want another rare beauty. I would either go narcosis, different variation loriculus, niglocella or joculator. Will start with 1 to see how it goes. Got the LFS looking at some other options for me.

Narcosis is a $18000 fish collected at 150m, niglocella have only been collected 2 times with out cyanide it was sold for $15000. Are you looking for a solar veriant, tiger, true Hawaii of loriculus. Joculators are regularly collected about 400 a year

The Narcosis angel I have been advised will sell for about $ 8000 but is only collected during expeditions throughout the year and depending on the demand as well. Niglocella I know are far more difficult to obtain and there colouration doesnt pose much interested for me either just the rarity factor. Jocs I know you can get by the dozen but not so many here in SA. Not true or tiger. Had both before. I want the solar.

Sounds like some nice fish man. But I would never spend that kind of money on fish if I knew that I
Diddent have enough time to even care for corals.
Fish of that rarity probably won't be the easiest fish to care for and making sure they are eating correctly
Might be more work than caring for 10 sun corals at once.
This is only my oppinion I know if I had a fish in one of my tanks that cost that much I'd spend about 3 hours a day
Just checking it for parasites and stuff
Can you even imagine the stress levels involved in caring for one of those beuties
Good luck and I hope all goes well and please post a few pics of those rare beauties wen they arrive

@459b. My first personal tank, im 21 years old. My dad has had tanks and now he will be funding mine. He is teaching me as we go along :) .
@weezle. I know what you mean. I am a student so I am not going to be at home alot of the time but we agreed to share maintenance schedules and enjoying the tank. My dad loves the hobby and spending R 15k on a fish wont be a problem if its the only fish. The rest will need to be up 2 me after im done studying.
