Yip you being ripped off wee-man :p

As for the upload being different the A in ADSL stands for asymmetric meaning that the bandwidth allocated for upload and download is different. Because most people downloading stuff they make the download allocation much bigger.

BTW: I got 284k/99k on a 384k adsl line. I am however using it through wireless with other people possibly using the line at the same time and fairly low wireless signal.

I'm sure you're paying a lot less than any of us are though... Although our adsl prices aren't too terrible lately, speeds still suck though. The biggest difference really is the cap. It sounds like ISP's in the rest of the world are instituting caps of some sort as theres kinda a global bandwidth shortage.

Interesting, I'm getting a download speed of 1553 kbps, and an upload speed of only 53 kbps on my Vodacom 3G. I can't seem to capture a screen shot though, keep on getting a blank image, and there's no other way I can figure out how to save the results...

Intersting - I normally use Firefox, and in that program it did not move on to the results screen after completing the test, so I never got to the 'Save your results' option. Tried it now in Internet Explorer, and it worked fine. I notice the upload speed is also quite a bit higher... Interesting ...
