Can anybody help with information regarding dosers. Our tank is 1.8 meters X 600cm X 1 meter. Have no idea if you get different sizes, different makes; what to look at if you buy it secondhand and so on. As well as estimate price. Thanks a million beginner as you can see.

dosers are for adding additives, so on a new tank there is no need for them until you know what you want to dose and how much etc.

first, hello and welcome Shawn and Carla

First, what corals do you have?
Had you tested your main elements consumption? Magnesium and calcium?

If you want automation, first get an ATU.

Learn how to maintain a tank, before you put your trust into some automatic doser. If you do not know what you are doing, or do not yet know what and why you are adding chemicals, rather learn first and understand the purpose of adding those chemicals.

Mostly dosers are only needed as tanks mature and you have a more SPS dominated system. Softy tanks can do easily with just frequent water changes.

First learn how to keep a tank stable. Learn the basic information about the chemical processes involved. Adding chemicals, without knowing why and how much are needed is not a good idea.
