    Howdy,
I've started, or rather want to start,
planning my tank inhabitants. I don't just want to go 'bos' buying LS looking nice but would rather want to go with LS from the same region.
Where can I read-up about the diff regions in the ocean and the live in it and maybe more specificly the species suitable for aquariums if such info exist, maybe a book ?

I also think "biotype specific" setups are best, compared to garden reefs. Just havent found anything definitive yet.

There are many diving books with fish and corals in various regions like our Two oceans one. Costs about R160.00. So look up the various dive sites and get the feel for what tickles your fancy and take it from their.

The fish i want is a Dragon Wrasse but they are like my kids - to much energy for one room (or tank) and growing up way to fast :)
Cardinals, esp Pajama, Spotted and Bangai
Manderin, hmmm...this one is nice in looks and character but might be to high maintanace for a beginner.

and inverts, I just love inverts, don't know why but they are much cooler than fish to me.

I've got the TwoOceans book and it helps a lot but the photos are all close-ups and i want something giving me an idea of the environment.

There's a lot of info on the internet but one must filter it and work through it before getting to what you are looking for.

The diving sites is a good idea and might provide more info towards what should go into a tank for a specific region.
    the search is on...

He he I've got a dragon wrasse but I just got to learn why their other name is "African Rock Mover" Don't underestimate this buggers strength he surely lives up to his name - he literraly moves rocks around the tank much bigger than himself!
