Morning All,

I am looking for an inferno anemone.
Could you guys point me in the right direction in terms of shops or individuals that sell?

Thank you

@RapaNui How old is your tank? Your first post said its still cycling?

Anemones can only be placed in a mature tank. They are sensitive creatures and even more so the infernos. Just keep that in mind.

Hey Joshua,

Thank you. The tank is a month old. We moved it from my brother in laws place with the same substrate and live rock. The live rock was put in boiling water to kill off all the algae that had grown on it so the good bacteria was also probably killed off.

I am sensitive to the cycle and allowing the tank to mature properly before adding anything. It did come with 2 clown fish as he couldn't out them in his other tank given an established pair that was in there. As an aside there is a bit of a cyano bloom at the moment.

Just started researching and day dreaming about future goodies so wont add anything until the tank is good & ready but would like to get ideas and contacts from the various forum members. I went to jungle aquatics on the weekend and they had this beautiful anemone in the front tank and it sparked my interest in its colour etc so got curious to what it was.

Funny, the tank is my wife's but i am really enjoying all the intricacies involved.

@RapaNui You might have read in some threads but I'm going to repeat it: The only things that happen quickly in this hobby is failure. If you think you have patience, be sure it is not enough. Patience will ensure you will enjoy this hobby and the inhabitants of your tank for years to come. If you rush things you are going to battle for two or three years and then we are going to buy your equipment for cheap on the site :tt2:, seen it happen way to often.

Dream big but be patient and enjoy this awesome addictive hobby :m06: and yes, the addiction is going to hit you hard without you noticing it

Sage advice, thanks. I believe that things can turn quickly but getting it right and changing stuff takes (a lot) time.

If you decide your tank is "mature" enough and willing to try an Inferno give JC Visser or Ryan a call at RMC. You will find them under the sponsors.
