Hi guys, I'm in search for a reef tank led for a 900lx500wx350h tank, I'm still regarded as a newbie, I have a Nano tank with a zetlight 1201 that works great. What lights would you suggest should I look for and where, I don't really know of what is out there, if you are reading this and have a light for Sale or know of someone that has one for sale pls let me know, I have a budget of something around 2k-4k.

Hi. I have a AI hydra 26HD that will work amazingly on your system. Let me know if you interested. I want R5000 for it. It’s in 100% condition only used for 6 months.

I have 2 x zt 1201 like you have on your nano with brackets complete for R2500. My tank is 6oomm deep and so they are just not powerful enough to reach that deep. All in boxes working 100%

I would love this light but it is out of my budget unfortunately, thx for the reply.

Are they the ones with the controller?

For that size tank, I would recommend two hydra 26HDs, however they are way over your budget. One will not suffice, I may have two for sale next year, however I would want 10k for both minus the mounts. However for yor build, if you want to keep it budget, I highly recommend the zetlight 7300 or the qmaven 2 6600, both are amazing lights. I ran both of them, if you after better spread go for the 7300, since your tank is quite wide I suggest this. If you want better coloration I suggest the 6600II. The QMaven 2 may be over you budget. I sold my for 6000 last year. Overall I recommend the 7300 for your build, it’s controlled via wifi and is a real powerhouse 200W. Or if you interested in my hydras 26s we can chat next year. There are also way cheaper alternatives out there, but I suggest you don’t skimp out on lighting, you will regret it later. Hope this helps.

Thx for the advice bud, much appreciated .

The 7300 is truly a beast of a light. I have mine over a 90cm as well, and 50cm depth. SPS are not a problem at all.

Hi

I have a zetlight lancia 2 895mm wifi version R2000.
Google it to review specs. 10 months old, 7 months in use.

Whatsapp me 0833752032 for pics.

To big unfortunately thats why it needs to be the za1201 wifi

Consider the width of his tank. The lancia 2 will be able to “light up” the tank, however it will not be suitable as they have relatively low par ratings. I ran the lancia 2 on my system as well. My corals on the mid to low region were struggling to get enough light.

I will stay away from the Lancia range on Zetlight. They are fine for softies only.

The 7300 would be perfect for a 900 tank.
Or
3x AI Prime HD /16’s
Or
2x AI Hydra 26’s

But value for money. The 7300 for sure
