    Hi
Someone wants to bring me a Radion gen3pro from US. Do you know if the voltage will be compatible with SA and what would be an approximate weight. Is there a company in SA handling the services of these products
    Thanks

    Rather buy it locally.
By the time you've converted to rands, shipping, etc, the price difference won't be worth it. Also importing one will most likely void any warranty.

By the time it gets here the new version will be out  jokes aside , I think you may save a few rand but as 459b said you may void the warranty but by buying it here you are supporting a SA business

I will support the local businesses by buying corals from them:thumbup:.I save R4000 by buying it in the US and have someone who can bring it to SA so no shipping costs

if you get stopped by customs they will add 25% duties and 14% on top of that

also there is no local back up if it breaks!

The local suppliers being Aquarium Depot will not honour any warranty, if your unit is faulty. Am I right in this assumption @AD Scott, @AD Donavan?
A case of peny wise, pound foolish?

My understanding is you are correct carlos. If there is a local agent the product should be bought through them if you want a warranty. A wholesaler wont honour a warranty on a product that has not passed through their till point Im afraid.... and to be fair, I think thats reasonable.

I have just spoken to Aquarium Depot. They will not cover any warranty or guarantees. You would need to send the item back to the country of origin to get the unit replaced or fixed.
