On behalf of the Cape Town Reef Club it is with great pleasure that the IMACSA 2009 organising committee announces the dates and venue for IMACSA 2009.
The IMACSA expo will be held at the V&A Forum in V&A Waterfront with the 3 day conference being in partnership with the 2 Oceans Aquarium in their auditorium on Friday the 23rd of October through to Sunday 25th of October.
    Conference includes:
Series of lectures from local and International Speakers running over 3 days
Host of networking activities including cocktail function.
Limited access for registered delegates and sponsors.
    Expo includes:
Showcase of relevant local and international products and services.
To run concurrently with the conference.
We are very happy that this event will be held in such a spectacular venue, This is just an announcement on dates and venue so that everyone can prepare for this much anticipated event, we will be making announcements with regards to who the international speakers will be as soon as we have confirmation, we will also be forwarding accommodation options, how to register, price and number of seats available as well as conference topics within the next few weeks.
    Watch this space for details.
    Regards

    The IMACSA 2009 Organising Committee.

So I take it that this year MASA is welcome, unlike last year :whistling:

Should result in good attendance figures, then (in contrast to 2008's feeble attendance when we were not welcome...)

    Hi there guys

We are still in the process of finalising the costing structure, an announcement will be made soon. I can say that we are aiming for the cost of a ticket to be less than half of the cost it was last year.

The organising committee is working very hard to secure the sponsors who will be able to make this possible. I think it goes without saying that the organising committee, without exception welcomes every member to this event and judging by the positive reaction we have had from all members we look forward to having a bumper turnout from members eager to rub shoulders with our local and international guests.

Thanks Jacques.. I have just confirmed that the proposed date for the website launch, ticket prices and banking details is earmarked for 1st May, just like our esteemed political parties, I encourage as many members to book as early as possible and make your mark of support, not only to enjoy the early booking discounts but to show our potential sponsors that this is an event that will be well supported by the members.
