    hi mark
i started my tank app 6 mnts ago. it is 1.8 long, 500wide & 750 high. i have live rock,an anenome, a pincussion, a pagoda, etc. they seem to be ok, but i have lost over 10 fish that i introduced the past month. i only use ro water and check the water ph,ka, mg etc regularly. my pet store that built the tank cant understand why i am loosing the fish. they think it is caused by other factors that may be tainting the water,eg. cleaning sprays etc. we have checked all this but i am still not winning.

Hi ahmed sorry to hear about your losses - never nice for things to die

There could be many reasons as the LF has said.

some more info is needed for the guys to help work out what the issues could be.

maybe a picture or 2 of the tank & setup would help.

    1) what test's are you doing? what are their reading? & brand of test kit "Some kits may be inaccurate"
    2) What are you dosing in your tank
    3) what maintenance are you doing daily / weekly
    4) check your RO water as well with your test kits & see what the TDS is
    5) what new has been put in your tank the last month
    6) did anything die before the fish started dying?
    7) Any sprays or cleaning stuff near the tank? no poisons or any type? check with your cleaning staff

I am sure I might have missed some stuff out

OK, you answered question 1 and 2. Please answer the rest and post the actual parameters.
Also, how do you acclimatise the fish?

    Hi Guys
maybe we need to put a list together of all the questions we need to ask to assist some one - there are some things I should have asked I missed which is important. Tobes your list looks good maybe we just add to it?

do you use plug in airfreshners? also how many fish do you have in the system if you have lost 10 in the last six months?

were they new additions that were lost during/shortly after introduction

OR were they fish that slowly diminished in numbers over the 6 month period?

Well if your fish are dying and your corals are living its probably a fish problem.

I.E. The fish you buying are sick, or hard to keep r jist not suitable for yo tank.
