    Hi everyone,
    i new to Marines
Been keeping malawis and breeding discus for years. also had a planted aquariums with Co2 etc.
now im trying my hand at marines.

This is what i have so far

    Main tank
    1160 length x 450 width x 600 height
I know its too narrow but it just a starter tank.

    My sunk tank is 1100 length x 350 width x 400 high.
I have predilled my own hole and built my own overflow and the piping is 32mm pvc with one way valves to prevent over flows.

    List of Equipment
Skimmer Reef Octo Nw150 Rated at 500 to 800 L
Duel air pump for my algae scrubber
    2 x 300mm Air Stones
    1 x 1kg of Seachem matrix
    1 x 500g Phosguard
    1 x 2kg of Bio Balls
    1 x 4 kg of Ceramic Rings
1 x 25 kg Live rock ( Currently in a friends frag tank)
30kg of Caribsea Arag Alive ( very fine.)
    1 3000l Return pump
    2 x 300w resun heaters
5 x ati actinic globes blues and purples and pink T5 Ho 54watt ( mixed)
    3 x ati white T5 HO 54watt

I have made my own Algae scrubber out of normal 20mm conduit and it uses Tremnet as a screen. with a resun pump to flow water through the piping.

Here are some pics i have so far

I'm just a little worried about the dosing as red sea products are not very specific on which one to use first etc

Also how much the lighting work?
what lights must come on on what sequence?
Is everything i have OK for now?

i will be doing a 1500 litre tank if this one goes well

lights should be fine. just clean those ceramic rings and bioballs often in your old tank water if you do water changes, and also the chambers they are in. then all should go well. dose only in the beginning either Seachem Prime and Stability or Nightout and special blend. the stability and the special blend is bacteria to help seed the rocks and rings and bioballs (dont dose both, chose one and stick to it) then the Seachem Prime and nightout is for amonia control. both work well but once again stick to one. according what i have heard the Nightout and special blend works the best. even though i am using the other one

I have Seachem prime and Seachem Stability.
is Seachem prime not just to be used once you add Ro water to your aquarium.
Just a little confused how to dose it

no you can dose it in the salt water as well. it wont harm any live stock at all. it actually helps strengthen the coating on the fish. so no harm will come from dosing it. just dont dose to much. stick to what the recommended dosage states. 5ml to 100L if not mistaking.
