There is a lot of talk regarding LED's at the moment so i have decided to give some info on the amazing Vertex Illumina.

    Light spread

Unlike most other lights on the market Illumina are completely unlensed which not only gives them unmatched spread and color mixing but also gives them the most uniform PAR levels.

B Illumina Model numbers (What do they mean)

SR260 (Par level of 260 at 500 deep)

SR360 (Par level of 360 at 500 deep)

    SR360 300MM LONG ILLUMINA CAPABILITY

Unrivaled light spread can illuminate a 1 meter cube mixed reef no problem.

They can keep SPS clams and nennies at 800mm or deeper

    They can be controlled wireless

They have a built in lighting computer and LCD display that can be programmed from the light itself no USB needed

They can be controlled from a laptop or pc wireless

All Vertex units can also communicate with each other wireless.

    Other info about Vertex Illumina

Vertex units are hand made in Germany with the best Cree LED's available

Vertex Units carry a 2 year warranty

Vertex Illumina units have a 60,000 hr lifespan.

Vertex Illumina can be fully upraded with zero soldering needed.

1800mm Vertex Illumina fully loaded is a unbelievable 840 watts of Cree power

I would love to see what those multipads are like. I really think the corals can benefit with the different UV leds it has. Pity that I would need 3 for the display and one for the frag tank.

What unit would you suggest for a mixed reef, 3000x1000x1000?

    I would say either 2 X 1200mm SR360 units lengthwise, or 4 X 600mm SR360 units across the tank.

But on 1m deep you will have to go for the SR360 units

A 600mm sr360. For tanks deeper than 600 and with high light corals on the substrate, the sr360 is the way to go. Up to 600 deep the sr260 should be fine.

Will a single one be OK to cover the cube of 90cm x 90cm?
