If you dont quarantine youre not a propper aquarist!!!!

How do you quarantine SPS?

I have an established coral quarantine nano without fish that I quarantine any corals in. I do a 50% water change every second day with tank water. Only do it for 2 weeks, enough time to observe for coral pests and also to eliminate the most hectic fish diseases that could have come with the coral (not worried about white spot). Sometimes it gets a bit crowded (although this time I had a naughty maroon clown in there to keep the coral company, not ideal, but coral came out of established healthy looking tank, so took a bit of a risk):

How do you acclimate a fish to quarantine?

If temperature and salinity is the same, I just throw them straight in between transfers. Parameters basically the same in both buckets as I use the same tank water and match temperature. Probably better to drip acclimate them to quarantine conditions initially. I transfer them with my hand or a strainer to avoid injury:

So if I read this correctly, I should be following the steps below for fish quarantine:

1. Fill quarantine tank/container with tank water

2. Drip acclimate

3. Best to transfer fish via hand or strainer

4. Change percentage of water over 10 days

5. Transfer after I'm happy

Yes, transfer fish every day between containers for 10 days total (so 10 transfers), dry the unused container and equipment out between transfer. Just heater, airstone and some pvc elbows for fish to hide in inside container.

There are numerous ways to do tank transfer method of qt, but found above to be the best in terms of water quality while still feeding the fish every day.

So every day the fish go into 100% new display tank water and you throw the old qt water away after the daily transfer.
