Hi guys

the below has been growing in the tank over the last few weeks and the pace at which its been growing has really picked up in the last two weeks.

is it good or bad?

Grape Caulerpa

Any tang will clear it out quickly. If you want to keep it then you must move it to your sump.

would an emerald crab help keep it in check?

Can rather use it as nutrient export. Let it grow and then weekly trim it, removing some of it and throw it away or give it to a fellow reefer.

Just keep in mind, that this type of caulerpa can go sexual on you, whereas the fern type most likely will not.

They grow very fast.

Please take caution when keeping these,

They can grow very quick, and they embed roots very deep in rock, so once it spreads,

It's very difficult to remove them from your LR.

It will best be kept in your sump or refugium if you have one.

will be removing today. luckily its only one one small iece of rock but its stretching out trying to catch elswhere.
