    Hi guys,

I was collecting some samples this morning when I came across this juvenile Pseudanthias sp.

Am I correct? any idea of the species name?

I can take more pics in the tank later if needed...

    Thanks!

Could it be this one? I know it as the "Big Eye":[IMG]

Aha, thanks! I see the adults often when diving, but I haven't seen any juveniles in the rockpools like this. Is it common to find them in the rockpools?

Yeeeah we get the odd one, they're just easy to miss because they're quite dull as juveniles. More common in shallow water down EL/TK way. Loads of them at 10m+ in KZN. Quite pretty when they get bigger, especially males.

The eye is unusually large on that small cooperi.
No doubt it will grow into its "eye" so the proportions become normalised over time
