    Hi everyone.

I caught these two fish in Ballito today.

    They are both very small.

The one is a black fish with yellow/beige spots all over in semi organised patterns. This one is about 10mm long. It seems like a normal fish with eyes on the sides of the head near the mouth. In the pic his head is on the left, his tail on the right.

The other fish is yellow on the bottom half of the body, orange on the top front half, and a thin blue line along the body, incorporating a black dot, separating the yellow and orange. This one is about 6mm long.

(also got a small zebra shrimp in this catch with plenty skippers and cushion stars, blacktails and something that looks like shad or herring)

Checked the two oceans book, no mention of either fish......

Anybody know what they are ?

yellow orange is a Damsel. They loose those nice colors as they grow up. Apparently very aggressive.

The other one must be a juvenile of something much bigger. I do not know what that is.
