Can someone please ID this fish please? Is this a type of wrasse and is it reef safe?
Surge wrasse, Thalassoma purpureum. Won't eat corals but gets big and nasty and will eat shrimp, small fish, tubeworms and small echinoderms.

Not a scientist, just a fish geek/catcher for 16 years. Was my second career choice though...
