I had a bit of soft and hard coral warfare,
I had to remove my hard coral from the tank.
There were some of these soft cone shaped growths.
    they look like a fungus.
The water parameters are still fine.

Does anyone know what they are?

They are very soft and break up when bumped.

Looks like a sponge, I find that they don't bother SPS due to the high flow, they don't bother LPS due to the strength of the polyp, they nail my GSP by smothering them.

Thanks, yes it does have a sponge like look.
    Ill check how they grow.

My kids spotted this Nudi, it looks like a Rasta man,
feeding on some weed this morning:whistling:

i would think the nudi caused the coral issues not the warfare

That's an impressive nudi? How big is it? I love nudis, but they can be very destructive. They have very specialised diets.

    Its about 3 cms.
    I also like Nudis.
From what I've read, they are not that well researched.
There are many un-named or new species out there…
proving how little we know about out planet.
    Unfortunately I agree with DallasG,
I think coral is on his menu.
I may do a bit more reading before I bin him.
