ID please

    Hey all, any idea what this is ? Grows out of the rock and is bright green. Resembles a periscope almost. About 1-2cms tall and only about 2-3mm thick (the largest ones). Small group of 4-5 growing only from this one rock

    Looks like snake polyps.( Isaurus tuberculatus).

    Algae, actually. Neomeris. Nice looking and usually slow growing.

    Just "googled" that and yep, that's the stuff

    Is this bad algae ?
    Leave it or get rid of it ?
    Best way to remove it ?

    it does no harm ,and it looks cool just leave it mine like Blackadder said grows very slow

    Yeah leave it, it's cool. Sometimes find it in the rockpools here. Gets very common from St Lucia northwards. Seems to prefer slightly sandy pools.
