I bought this late yesterday, I thought it was some form of polyps and when I asked I was told it was a single ricordia which is what I was actually look for. I put it in my tank last night and the more it opens and the more I look at it the less I think it's ricordia or polyps.

Ricordeas are mushrooms... What makes you think that it is not a ricordea?

It could possibly be a ricordea. My ric sometimes deflates and looks as yours is now but its orange.

Cool will give it some times and take more pics. Are ric's prone to moving around?

It's a ricordea Yuma from what I can tell in the tiny pic on my phone :p

They don't move like an anemone would, but mushrooms can move along the rock work and as they do so leave little bits behind which grow into new mushrooms/rics
