ID please

    I was told by my LFS that its frogspawn.........But it could also be some kind of Torch coral........can anyone give me a more specific ID?........
    want to make sure I know exactly what it is and reseach the proper care it needs

    It is frogspawn, they come in different types. Make sure you have a little nitrates for it to feed on or if you running a ULNS then make sure you dosing some sort of food.

    Medium to low flow
    Medium light (it does not like to little light and does not open under heavy lighting.

    im dosing Aqua Vitro Fuel.......Hes in a place with very low flow an quite high up in my tank.......the "tentacles" extend quite far but I guess hes to close to my light now?

    its currently extended more than in the pic and its got more of a tan colour with green hue

    That is the non branching frogsporne.

    Euphyllia paradivisa.
    Is the branching frogsporn.

    If he is extending and you thing its a good extension leave him :) if I look at my LPS. They extend in such a way that the flesh at the bottom (where it comes out of the skeleton) is also extended. To me that's good extension :)

    Take a pic of it extended and post :)

    Btw you lucky they don't often come in IMO, I really like those type of froggies, I have three different type of froggies and still don't have that one :)

    Yup they may want to make it home. This could result in a damaged coral.

    Hope your nemos don't host in it, they tend to irritate the hell out of it.
