ID Please

    Please help me identufy this eel?

    We caught it in a tidal pool in Ramsgate.

    We do have permits.

    leopard eel? nah only joking i have no idee, but it will eat any inverts in the tank as well as small fish.

    @Bonzai - Looks like you guys are having a fun day at the beach! Great to see you asking for ID as you catch and don't leave it til it's too late. I'm interested to know how did you catch the eel?

    Hi Chas. It was fun!!! The eel was actually just a by luck. We were catching blennies etc, and found it in a pool of water inbetween rocks...and if you know my sister, nothing gets away!!! believe me. She will try for hours untill she gets it.

    Why you ask?

    That's awesome. Was just wondering, I know they're very intelligent creatures and not really found in "open" water - ie they normally stay in their caves so very well done!

    hi Bonzai,

    this is a juvenile Floral moray (Echidna nebulosa) - can grow to 70cm!
    nice one.
