    Hey guys was just wondering what the hell is this one of my friends caught it and gave it to me it is presently in a bucket with salt water haha can any one please id it for me looks kinda weird

    It looks a lot like a cowrie, possibly genus Cyphoma.

    If it is a cowrie, then it got its mantle pulled over its shell. Touching it would cause it to pull back, revealing its shell. Take a pic then.
    Also what is its length.

    Ok so i took some picks wen it was in the bucket

    Looks More like a genus Cyphoma i think has no shell

    Nope, that is some nudibranch.

    Beutifull creatures. But almost all are specialist eaters and predators. Best is to keep it out of your tank until you get a 100% ID. I will leave it in the sea.

    Its common name is a Dotty dorid (Jorunna funebris) . They quite common off our East coast and feed in sponges. Hope that helps a little.:)
