Hi All, anybody have an idea what the red stuff next to the pulsing Xenia is?
Could be macro algea
Interesting shape though... is it stationary?
It's just some red algae i think..my scopa tang makes a meal of it and it don't get a chance to grow..
The red algea is called "Red Dictyota" or "Nitophyllum" according to Julian Sprung's book:Algea,A Problem Solver Guide. It states that this algea "seems to have a positive effect on water quality."
well if it is Red Dictyota and its a good thing then I guess it will stay.
