    Got this small piece from a fellow reefer but im not sure what polyp this is...

    Didn't I get the correct I'd first?

    If you know the donor colony, shouldn't you have got the id when you got the frag?

    When i bought the frag the guy told me it was star polyps..........so when I gave some to Arries we wanted to make sure

    Does Tubipora musica also spread as fast as star polyps?

    In my experience they can be a bt tempremental, fine one day, sulking the next.

    @Kharnyge - it's always a good idea to buy what you know and have researched,rather than relying on the opinion of (some ) shops.

    Trust me............I dont take what they say on face value.So far the coral is doing great and all polyps fully extend and look happy...........will monitor them for any changes.

    Can deal with temperamental, but worried that they will take over like star polyps sometimes do. How fast do they grow/spread, hoping as they have a hard skeleton that they will be less of a fast grower?

    They grow slower than star polyps.
