Half way there @belindamotion, (great threads) T. crocea to be exact, smallest of the Tridacna genus. Also have a look here: IntroToClams

Oh k well my tank is only 30cm deep and reading on that info the clam is only 5cm-6cm big so im guessing that my lights would be perfect one more thing how do you put these clams into your tank like you drip the fish or invertebrates.

Drip them a little slower, molluscs do not like huge swings, so take it slow about 1- 2 hours (that's how I dripped my two clams. Also ask the guy you getting it from what species it is, as some clams like to be placed on the floor (like squamosa) and others on rocks (like crocea).

For clams and your depth i would say 4 good quality tubes would be best. You might have to do supplemntal feeding with just 2 tubes. If you only have 2 then i hope they are top notch tubes such as giesemann or ATI

They are filter feeders so something in that line.

Also make sure you keep your alkalinity and calcium levels stable, especially alkalinity. I have lost 2 of them before due to low alkalinity and sudden swings when trying to correct it. Once they start signs of die off, its normally too late in my experience.

    Yes it will.

I feed all four to my tank every day. SPS, LPS, CLAM AND FILTER FEEDER and Reef Paste.
I like to feed the reef paste to my system. The anemones love it as we'll as the Sun coral.

I do not target feed the sun coral and it opens as soon as the reef paste is put in the tank.
