ID Needed

    Can someone ID this coral for me? I would like to get my hopes up and think its an elegance as it sure looks like it but not too certain.... any input?

    There are 3 of them growing on the one piece of LR, will break a piece off that has the one on it's own for you ;)

    Now here is why I wasn't so sure and should have mentioned it, I don't see it's own skeleton, it's growing flat on the rock. Been searching for images on the net but haven't found any of elegance in the beginning stages.

    Very interesting. Certainly looks like an elegance. Maybe it's a species of furry/fluffy mushroom. I was at wild on pets last week and one of their elegance corals partially detached and is sitting on a rock, very much alive. That one could have gone through asexual reproduction and through time a new skeleton will be produced.

    looks like a Euyphillia coral but would need to see more of it

    coral still seems to be growing, not sure anymore if it is an elegance... looks like some type of hard encrusting coral...

    Does it inflate more at times? If so then I would also say elegance coral. Could be that it's skeleton is nested inside the rock. They like good light. Give it a few days to adjust and I am positive it will inflate and proof to be an elegance coral.
