    I thinks its a Sundial
Snail. It uses a sharp beak to drill into the zoas and eat them

Hi I found one on some Zoe's which I collected in the Transkei , I noticed it in the tank
It was floating in one spot, hanging from a very thin strand of wat looked like a spiders web.
Wen I removed the snail like creature from the tank with a plastic cup, it began to crawl like a normal snail.
Upon further inspection I noted that its she'll was soft??
I decided to put it back in the tank , 5 min later it was hanging on that same thread again and to this day
I have never seen it again.i presume my Niger trigger ate it?

    Hi,
Yes looks like a sundial snail. Your trigger could have eaten it, or look when the lights are off and see if its still around the zoas

    It is a sundail
Not a very good specimen either, very dark with the marks giving its name not very visible.

But the "underside", looks as if you look up from below into a spiral staircase going several floors on some old majestic building. If you got a good imagination.

And yes, they eat your zoa
