Looks more like a pagoda or cup coral coral, with a hard base and polyps on a base

Do you agree this is it?

I believe you have a "piece" of Goniopora, specifically an Indonesian import most likely Goniopora somaliensis, or one of the 'other RedFlowerpot' corals.

This entire group of corals are notoriously difficult to succeed with very few longterm successes, ie. >1y with positive growth results.

BUUUUT, if you have the species I believe you have, then chances are very good you will make a go of it!:yeahdude:

This article in Advanced Aquarist Online may help a long way in getting you started in the right direction.

I cant see your pic mista but if you are correct in saying that it is a Goniopora, good luck, as obi wan said they have a dismal survival rate (there was a poll on MASA at one stage)

If it was me ...I would consider taking it back & asking for refund

MistaOrange, you first need to upload your pics to the MASA image uploader or to www.photobucket.com. Then post the links here :)
