ID local puffer

    little all black puffer. any ideas?

    The tiny ones are quite variable and change colour when stressed. Probably one of the common ones like nigropunctatus or immaculatus.

    or maybe hispidus, how common are they?
    the only arothron species we see down here on occasion is A.inconditus, but this is not one of them.

    Also common, but juvie hispidus generally have white spots already. They're all very common (except mappa) when you get to TK and northwards.
