OK, his pincers are not predatory (blunt at the end, most likely more herbivorous), I have one of those (IN SUMP), the problem arises when he doesn't get the food he wants, this will lead him to eat food you want in your tank, eg, fish, gastropods, corals, etc.
PUT HIM IN THE SUMP, just to be sure.

Oh yes, good luck with that. :p
I removed all my live rock to catch a yellow tang and that's how how caught him, ALONG with a Teddy bear crab and two others I can't identify (SHARP PINCERS, predatory).

    definatley predatory..

crabs are scavangers first and opportunist predators second..

if it had tiny nippers id say it was herbivirious..

this crab resembles a swimming crab species which we catch in the surfline on sandy beaches.. and i can promise you you will get a nasty nip...

    sump it..

Removed one of these, size of the palm of my hand, when i stripped my display down it is definatly a predator, i have no small fish left in my system.

When your zoas start to dissapear, the chances are good there is a crab in the tank. When I looked with a toarch at night, I found 2 nasty crabs ones and removed them without hesitation. Now I am even very hesitant with hermit crabs. I think the red legged ones are still ok, but local ones, never again.
