    Scientific Name: Chlorodesmis Sp.
    Another Scientific Name I saw while Surfing: Chlorodesmis fastigiata
    Common Name: Turtle Weed/Maidens Hair


    I might be wrong but it looks like it....

    I actually saw a picture exactly like you'rs on a Link the other day and now for the life of me, I can't find it...:(..Hope it's not the dreaded B...because then I also have it...sigh...haven't gone thru the Slide show...maybe it's on here...

    That's bryopsis dude. Elevated mg levels and manual removal worked for me. It never totally dissapeared froim my tank but only grows on the overflow teeth so I'm not worried about it.

    no doubt that it is briopsis!!! a killer to get rid of... Only way that i got rid of it was increasing my mg and using a algae blenny as a control...seems to have all disappeared

    I got a Bi-Colour Blennie and he isn't touching it...:p..guess mine is GHA as he's not touching that either...:005: But I can't remove it as my Nemo's are now hosting in it...:lol::lol::lol:

    uhm,my suspicion is bryopsis,maiden's hair grow from centrepoint outwards,great breeding ground for pods ect. unlike bryopsis,herbivores's don't eat maiden's hair,coz it contains some kind of toxin.

    Yeah im 99% sure its bryopsis now and spreading fast. So gonna start with epsom salts

    That stuff is the devil! Spreads ridiculously fast!
    If its possible, coz it looks like you have small patches, chop off the piece of rock it's growing on and chuck it.
    was the only way I got rid of it in a previous tank- take out every bit of it
