    Hi and welcome!
Firstly tell us more on the size of the setup, what you already have etc. Post pics as well so we can help you with your questions...

    Welcome to the forum :)
That's a Reeftek Protein Skimmer, well, what's left of it at least, it's missing a few crucial pieces, but at least it's got one pink Alice Band.

depends on how bad the crack is. Post a pic and one of the DIY experts will help.

    Hello and welcome.

Ditch the UV, first its too small, and they do not work that well.
Secondly. The skimmer you got with the upgraded Alice band. It looks like a old TS3. It needs a few parts as mentioned. So unless you got it, you have to get a new skimmer.
The closed loop system - all those pipes and big pump in second last picture - either keep it or ditch it.
Closed loops are nice. But they are heavy on power consumption, and generally lack the flow punch that you can get with internal flow pumps. But, you can setup a Anemone safe tank easier with closed loop. And less pumps and wires inside the display. I strongly suggest that you check that pump wattage. You read up more on closed loops. Before you get the base fixed. I assume the base got the inlet holes for the closed loop.

And that is one mother of a centre brace. While you replace the base, ask the guys to take out that centre brace and to rather fit euro bracing all around. Putting things like live rock will just be that much easier.
