wow thats simple i lucky enough made a corner over flow two months ago coz i had to move my tank so whilst it was empty i siliconed a piece of glass in the corner for a over flow i think that should be fine. One question what about a bubble trap is it necessary

    thanks

Some guys swear by bubble traps, over the years I have built about 6 sumps and have never used bubble traps and have never had the need for them either. Up to you I suppose, if your return pipe is creating bubbles then there are other simple but crude methods of dealing with bubbles. Maybe put in a couple if you want to, it couldn't hurt.

a basic sump will have a skimmer section, Deep sand bed (which is a layer of fine substrate like play sand which is about 15cm deep) and the return chamber which has your return pump. Check out the forums on deep sand beds, its a form of filtration...

Disregard Vipers post, he is a bit old and built his six sumps around airstone skimmers............
New technology is here, Imo, go 3 chambers, 1 skimmer, 2 reactors, 3 return top up. Build it and the size around your skimmer, rather get a second hand decent skimmer on masa than a new kak thing, leave the second chamber empty till you can put reactors in,

DSB must be a minimum of 10 to 12cm deep.
