    Any comments, suggestions, possible problems?

    200 W heater
    1800L/h pewerhead
2 CFL lights, out of shot.
Some LR, to give fish that home feeling.

This is all temporary, and will be removed when not in use.

I would remove the LR Riaan. The only problem with the LR is that they can house bad things. Hence the reason for people leaving thier QT tanks bare.

    Otherwise looking good :)

sentari is right, remove the LR and use pvc elbows etc
i use a bubble filter with carbon in as well to keep the water as clean as possible, change that and filter floss every 3rd day

there is no need as the copper etc will kill the bacteria

if u not going to dose, what i do is keep cermamic beads handy and about 5 days before i put a hand full in my sump then move them to the QT tank and discard them after.
I tub of about 500g is about R50 and lasts me about 5 runs of the QT

The LR is totally clean, or dead. Comes out of a dark container. Been cooking in there for 2 months.

I will do this, when I see whitespot. Then I will take the LR out, into a bucket, then I will use PVC elbows. The LR is just a lot more natural, will give less stress than a bare and plastic tank.

10L water change per day, that is about 16-18%. Well that should keep stuff in check.

I did see that indicator thing, somewhere, hmm, nice idea, thanks Vatso for reminding me.
