I may have over amphipoded my tank. I collected these in a few minutes in a tide pool that I got to in my boat. I have always done this but it just seems like a lot of amphipods at once. The fish think they died and went to fish heaven.
Here is a short amphipod video as they look just after collection :lol2:

Good Golly Miss Molly .... If I saw so much food speeding in front of me .... I too would think I was in heaven ... Just out of curiosity ..... Have you ever fed your fish mosquito lavae and if while we at it anyone else done that here on the forum .... As they are fairly easy to breed ....

I have not fed my salt water mosquito larvae as amphipods are so easy to collect.

Another reasoon your tank looks so well Paul, feeding fresh food directly from the ocean is the best way of feeding. Imagine if we ate flaked food. "Here you go Sir, your steak and salad, freez dried to perfection, coloured pink and soaked in extra vitamins!" Yummy!:rolleyes:

Now I will go and eat some oatmeal, which is basically flake food. :tt2:

My tank is still dark now but with a flashlight I could see amphipods all over the gravel, and most of them are smiling as I rescued them from that muddy tidepool. :p
