looks like a nifty little gadget, seemingly a little more fail safe than the tunze, but time will tell....

Guys please keep in mind that this includes the pump which is a positive diaphragm type pump, that's mounted externally, the only thing actually in the Top up reservoir will be a silicone pipe.

the pump is also self priming :)

Its a great piece of kit and you will not find anything on the market similar.

The controller itself is electronic and has dual graphite sensor that are not affected by snail crabs etc also its not affected by turbulent water movement or level fluctuation ie it will not constantly activate if you have turbulence in the sump.

The hydrofill also comes with a 24 month warranty

@Submariner does the silicone pipe that goes in ato reservoir have a magnet mount to keep in? What prevents it from falling out of the reservoir?

    Thanks

    Hi malooda

the pipe has a small filter on the end that stops debris etc getting into the pipe, plus gravity helps :) .

we havent had anyone complaining about the pipes falling out of the reservoir :)

Then i would say IMHO with all confidence, yes it is better than Tunze...
I think one has to buy the tunze metering pump seperate..not sure and price is similar..
