Welcome to MASA John.:wave2: That is a really nice size tank:)

I would take is slow and read up on MASA about equipment before wasting money at a LFS. Good quality life rock is essential, but you can seed bio rock if you dont want to spend thousands of LR.

I would buy a big a skimmer as possible as you dont want to upgrade in a couple of months time and lose a lot of money;)

Welcome to the forum BJ, did your tank come with a sump? Has the tank got an overflow built into it?

So if you guys talking lights like it hectic how hectic is it technically the tank will only be like 700 deep depending on overflow and all that wona place lights as close as possible so that I hide them with the canopy

Depends on what you want to keep in the end , FO, Softies, LPS SPS etc

But having a conopy does limit you in some ways...very difficult to use MH thus LOTS T5's
    (ive got 8 running).....

This is not a big thing at the mo especially if you are only going FO at the moment

Well for now it FO and then move over to next level of not so hard to keep livestock and hopefully end up with a wonderfull and colourfull tank it is actually not a canopy but rather a wood frame ontop of the tank sorry if I made you guys misunderstand. If you guys say fish only is that just fish and live rock or are you possible to keep other live stock with them
