    Howzit Guys and gals

I have had my hands dirty "well clean" with tropical tanks for about 6years now but im bored with it now. Its alll the same.
My tank his tank our tank they allllll look the same. So next step is the obvious one MARINE!!!!!!
So the tank i have now and i would like to convert if it is possible is the following.
550lt (120 odd gallon ) glass tank with an internal filter with one 3000lt/h powerhead .
below it is 3 cabinets. Id like to put the sump in here but ill see what the experts say.
The tank has a wooden top with glass slides covering the water.
So its a basic big ass tropical tank as you can see. It has a fair amount of space below the tank in
the cabinet but i still have to see if its possible to use as a sump room.

AAAANYWAY ive seen some awesome looking tanks here hope to have one up and running before the year ends aswell.

With the tank being a tropical now, the first question that pops up for me is, have you ever used medication or something other with copper in?

    Hi Falcon

yeah i gathered as much but only came accross this site today so will take some pics when i get home and load them tommorrow. Ive been checking around and im sure it will work with some minor alterations. Only issue i have now is daily direct sunlight. Tank needs a ned spot .

If you do your filtration strategy properly, then direct sunlight need not be a problem but actually a blessing, remember corals need lots of light. They will enjoy this as no artificial light really does justice to the power of the sun....

Just make sure you have decent nitrate and phosphate removal techniques and then you wont have unwanted algae growth....also a tang or two will keep algae at bay if your no3/po4 levels are low.
