    Hi everyone

Hope you are al keeping well?

I have recently got my new stand for my new setup I am doing, but unfortunately the stand is bent :(.
Does anyone know of an expert in Cape Town that can maybe fix this problem?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry cant send a pic now, but the top of the stand lifts towards the centre.
Therefore the tank on top does not touch the stand on the one side if the stand.
The thing is do I even attempt trying to straighten the stand or just build a new one?

How thick is the steel? Is it made from square tubing or angle iron?

icant really comment without seeing a pic but if its all steel it can usually be heated and tentioned back into place.. upon cooling it should retain its former structure but this is dependant on the type of material it is made out of..

there is no real gaurantee it will ever be 100% either

thanks for all the comments so far.
    Will take pictures tonight.
Yes it is mad of steal square tubing. Each beam and support is 10 to 12 cm all round and the wall thickness is either 2 or 3mm.

Take it to an engineering shop. So that they can put it under a 40T jack.

    If that fails

    Build another stand.

Old stand can make a nice braaier...:)

take it to a panel shop that has a chassis straightener and ask them to pull it into the correct shape.

Firstly, what has caused it to bend? was it from manufacturing incorrectly or something like galvanising?

Secondly, how much deflection is there and how long is the stand

Thirdly, you say "Each beam and support is 10 to 12 cm", I don't comprehend.

and as others have said, a Pic will be a 1000 words.

Brandon since your in cape town the easy fix would be go to the beach with the stand!

there will be lot's of beached Whales get some of them to sit on the stand will take any bend out! 40Tons is nothing to some of them beached whales

    LOL

PS: Don't risk the tank & all the goods on a stand that might give way!

    Hey Brandon

I recently had a stand built and it came out bent as well. The guy who built the stand mentioned that he got a bad steel shipment the last couple of weeks. Try NAAC if you looking for a stand.
