How to separate glass, HELP

Hi guys.
So I got my new upgrade tank 2day.
It had a overflow box just off to the side.
There is one long piece of glass about 20-25mm wide and 600mm high.
It's is stuck onto the main tank.
I want to remove this piece.
How do I go about this with out scratching the glass. This side will become a second viewing angle

Have you tried fishing line ?

Use a measuring tape, Works really well

I've tried guitar wire,but I just can get between the 2 pieces of glass.
Can I not inject a solvent or something between the two.
Keep on mind I don't want to scratch the glass it's gonna become a viewing side

Can you move the piece at all ?
If so, you will need to bend it to one side and blade the opening side and cut away at the silicone little by little

Not really.they are tight

Use an a razor blade the old type from the stone age. You can also use tracing wire, get it from any tackle shop

there is a solvent/glue type product they sell at builders that would start it off for you so you can get something in between, just use gloves as it chowed the skin on my fingers fairly quick.

it's call Silicone stripper or something like that.

My mate at work just gave me a bottle of STANDOX - SILICON ENTFERNER REMOVER.
Any one know if this will work
