Okay, got no experience with this, but was told by someone knowledgeable, you need to give them a pipe (hole) to sit in. That way, they dont walk around the tank. That being said here is what I constructed today:

    1) take an old piece of dead live rock and hollow it out.

    2) cut a piece of pvc pipe (one I used is 75mm ID - I hope big and long enough.

    3) silicon up pieces of rock around the pipe to hide it.

    4) then install anemone. Okay dont know how to do this. Will have to phone a friend ... Watch this space over the next few weeks.

You can't "mount" an anemone. It will go where it wants. You can try, and if the spot you have chosen for the anemone is the spot the anemone has chosen for itself you can call it successful.

The use of the word "mount" was tongue in cheek

Wow that is an awesome Rose BTA! But isnt your tank still too young? How long has it been running again?

Nice nennie, but I also think your tank is still too young. It needs to mature for at least 9 months so that the water parameters is stable.
It might not settle in a newish tank.

    Thanks for all the compliments.
    A friend of mine's anemone cloned/split itself.

Its being kept for me at the moment but I thought I may as well see if I could made somewhere for it to sit. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Incidently, his anemone sits in a pipe of similar construction.

This nennie is also sitting in a pipe. The pipe diammeter however is 100mm. The nennie itself is a little over 500mm.. It doesnt move, has never moved out of the cup since it has been placed in it, and has been moved twice over the year or so my mate has had it and has not ventured out of the pipe.

I'm not surprised he hasn't ventured out of the pipe, he's probably stuck solid in there, imagine having a 500mm bum and being forced into a 100mm pipe. :p

it wasnt forced:nono: it was about 15cms in diammeter when he got it. At that time its foot was plenty small enough for a 100mm pipe.
